LANE CHOICE is an excellent example of the very popular 65’ Hatteras Convertible/Fishing yacht. Designed after the popular 60 Hatteras that was considered the best large fishing yacht built at the time, the style is similar, but the hull was extended and improved to provide more interior space and more speed, the three stateroom layout was improved, the galley was opened to the salon and a utility room was added for washer/dryer, AC units and freezer. The cockpit is large and has all the necessary features for a fishing/cruising yacht and the flybridge has massive amounts of room. There is a forward steering station as well as an aft station for docking and fishing. With a cruising speed of 25 knots using only 80 gph, this yacht is ideal for getting to the fishing ground quickly and efficiently.
Vessel Walkthrough
LANE CHOICE features the standard layout for the 1996 65’ Hatteras, providing three staterooms, each with its own head and shower. The master stateroom is forward with a center queen berth, the VIP is on the port side with twin berths that easily may be converted to a full berth. Twin over and under crossed berths and an entrance into the utility room fashions the third stateroom. The galley is up and open to the spacious salon, furnished with an L-shaped dinette, L-shaped sofa, occasional chairs, a cocktail table, and plenty of storage. The 183-square-foot cockpit gives easy access to the flybridge and engine room. Large side decks with convenient hand holds give easy access to the bow. Forward and aft steering stations, plenty of seating, and a custom hard top and enclosure are provided on the flybridge.
